1. Smoking:
The Aqua Attack Swimming Club recognises that smoking and passive smoking are extremely hazardous to health. We ensure a smoke free environment in all areas under control of the club including poolside, the change rooms and office. All club functions are smoke-free. The Club will never be involved in selling tobacco products and non-smoking signage will be prominently displayed in areas controlled by the Club.
2. Alcohol:
The Aqua Attack Swimming Club supports the responsible adult use of alcohol. We therefore actively discourage excessive or rapid consumption of alcohol and strictly enforce that alcohol is not served to any person who is intoxicated or under the age of 18 years. We promote lower pricing on low and non-alcoholic drinks and provide free un-bottled water.
3. Other Drugs:
The use of illicit drugs and performance enhancing drugs is not permitted by any Aqua Attack Swimming Club member or patron. The Club willingly supports the national and international agencies with their drug testing programmes.
4. Sun Protection:
The Aqua Attack Swimming Club will take all reasonable steps to address sun safe practices where possible and try to schedule outdoor activities outside the hours of 10.30am to 2.30pm. Where possible, we make maximum usage of existing shade facilities and we follow the Cancer Foundation of Western Australia guidelines for Sun Smart clothing, use of sunscreen and the wearing of hats.
5. Sport Activities:
The Aqua Attack Swimming Club encourages all members to adopt safe practices to prevent injury by providing safe training and competition areas, first aid equipment, accredited first aid personnel and qualified coaches at all training sessions and competitions.
All coaching staff, financial Swimming WA members and the training facilities used by the Aqua Attack Swimming Club have public liability and or insurance cover.

6. Healthy Food Choices:
The Aqua Attack Swimming Club recognises the importance of good nutrition for sports performance. We provide information on good nutrition and sports performance and when food is provided, we always try to ensure that healthy alternatives are available. Senior swimmers, coaches and club members are expected to set appropriate examples and act as role models for junior club members. The club will make information available to club members and families to promote healthy lifestyles.
7. Poolside Behaviour:
All adults associated with the club are encouraged to monitor poolside behaviour of all swimmers and in the first instance, intervene where breaches of safe practice are observed. Turning a blind eye is not an acceptable code of practice. For persistence breaches, coaching staff and or executive members must be notified.
8. Adult Participation:
As a healthy club, we encourage parents to participate in the running of the club. Parents are also encouraged to support their children in constructive and positive ways. Parents also have the opportunity of participating in Swimming WA proficiency courses to develop skills as referees, coaches and other official positions; qualified personnel can then officiate at swimming carnivals throughout the state further benefiting the participant and the sport in general. In all instances, aggressive parent syndrome is never welcome.
